In 2008 Hayden took out a loan for $20K to buy a High Brow Cat yearling filly then looked over every fence he could, to work out how to train her. He has since trained Superfly, Melting Snow, High Brown Jackson, AND Matalic Mvp. His most memorable moment in cutting was watching the 5/6 yr old final of the Super Stakes on his first trip to Texas in 2003. It was his first eye opener to this level of cutting. Hayden Upton specializes in starting Cutting & Performance based horses and has built a very successful reputation of horses coming out of his program being highly sought after by top trainers. He has consistently produced sale topping 2 year old prospects at the Western Bloodstock Futurity sales and have had several go on to very successful careers in both the Cutting and Reined Cow horse events.
